We are pleased to submit to ICANN our proposal putting forward SITA SC as the sponsoring organisation for a new Top Level Domain Name (TLD), ".air".

The objective of this document is to demonstrate that SITA SC is fully qualified to sponsor such a TLD in response to the growing needs of the Air Transport Community, which it has been serving for more than 50 years.

This document includes:

All information pertaining to SITA as a non-for-profit co-operative organisation owned by the Air Transport Community
The extent of the mission it fulfils on behalf of its members, and how it operates
The reasons for allocating rapidly a ".air" TLD to air transportation
The proposed policy processes to be put in place for this initiative, associating all sectors and organisations of the Community
How it is envisaged to operate the new TLD.
